The entire west coastline is a paradise to the watersports enthusiast. In the photo to the left, sailboarders enjoy the wind, waves and sun while still getting a lovely view of the beautiful city.

Agio Georgios (below) is a popular beach which is just a ten minute walk from the port. There are many smaller hotels in the area and it has a pleasant beach with very shallow water and lots of tavernas.
